June 2, 2012 - Spring Recital
Visionary School for the Performing Arts will be presenting the Spring Recital at the Encore Theatre(9620 Campo Road, Spring Valley, CA). Come and watch our students as they present their dance and theatre peformances from their classes. Guest performing will be the dancers of Visionary Dance Theatre as well as the performers of Visionary's Professional Musical Theatre group.

June 11th-12th, 2012 - **Audition** - The Wiz Musical Theatre Summer Camp
Your child will have the experience of a lifetime this summer as they sing, dance and act their way to stardom! Combining an educationally stimulating experience with loads of fun, this musical theater workshop provides them the experience of exploring their inner performer! With an emphasis on performance, this program offers students the opportunity to develop and advance their skills in singing, acting, dancing, teamwork and a sense of community as they prepare for a 4-night run of the critically acclaimed show "The Wiz"!
Auditions will be held June 11th and 12th from 5pm to 7pm. Callbacks will be on June 16th from 2pm to 5pm. Come prepared to sing a 2.5 min. Musical Theatre Song. You must have the backing track to your song in CD format. (Please do not sing anything from The Wiz). For Callbacks, dress ready to dance. Auditions and rehearsals will be held at Visionary School for the Performing Arts 8803 1/2 La Mesa Blvd., La Mesa, CA 91942.

The Visionary Musical Theatre Company presents their first premier show Visions of Broadway at the Visionary Studio(8803 1/2 La Mesa Blvd, La Mesa). Watch and listen as our varied and dynamic cast sing and dance to some of your favorite broadway hits. Enjoy various numbers ranging from classic shows, such as Anything Goes, to today's shows, such as Spamalot. Come down and see our vision of Broadway!

August 13th-18th, 2012 - Choreographer's Workshop
Are you ready to further develop your dance-making skill set through investigation and exploration? Take your choreographic process to a whole new level by engaging in discussion, observation and participation with artists from the San Diego community who approach dance in a variety of ways!
Join Blythe Barton, Gina & Kyle Sorensen, Michael Mizerany, Zaquia Mahler Salinas and Anne Gehman for six days of dancing and dance-making, culminating in a performance at the 10th Ave. Theatre!
You will have the opportunity to participate in discussions and technique classes with all five choreographers, work with two choreographers on their pieces as well as develop your own works for the showcase!
