Join Visionary Dance Theatre this spring for a fundraiser event at the Mingei International Museum (Balboa Park, Plaza de Panama, 1439 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101) on May 16th @ 6pm.

Visionary Dance Theatre (VDT) will be presenting some of its social justice repertoire and also give a sneak peak of new works to be performed this summer in San Diego’s DanZen Fest, a dance festival at 10th Avenue Arts Center from June 6 – July 3, 2022DanZen Fest features almost daily performances by choreographers and performing arts organizations locally and from around the world. Our diverse organization utilizes dance as a form of activism with themes of social justice and social awareness.  We enhance the community through the performing arts offering affordable classes to children and adults. This includes pay-what-you-can adult dance and fitness classes and scholarships for children from underserved and marginalized communities.  VDT also trains and coaches the award winning and critically acclaimed Kidz Danz Kompany, San Diego’s premier childrens dance company. Proceeds of this event will support these activities including the maintaining these scholarships for children, in turn helping to curate the next generation of performers and role models in the arts. We believe that people of all backgrounds have a voice worth hearing and a story worth sharing.

Support the diversity of Visionary Dance Theatre and enjoy an evening of dance art wrapped in atmosphere of diverse art that celebrates human creativity of all cultures, the Mingei International Museum.
